motorcyclist was killed today on the Dhaka-Mawa Expressway in the Kamarkhola area of ​​Munshiganj's Sreenagar upazila. The deceased was identified as Mohammad Neyamat ul Islam Tamim (27), son of late Abul Hossain Sheikh, a resident of Beltali village in Sreenagar upazila of Munshiganj, reports our local correspondent quoting Sub Inspector (SI) of Hashara Highway Police Mohammad Anisur Rahman.

The incident took place around 8pm on the Dhaka-bound service lane of Dhaka-Mawa Expressway when Tamim was trying to overtake a pickup and slipped on sand and skidded off. The SI said, "While trying to overtake a pickup, a motorbike from Mawa-side slipped in the sand and lost control and fell on the expressway.

Tamim got a serious head injury at that time. When the locals rescued him and took him to Sreenagar Upazila Health Complex, the on-duty doctor declared him dead. The body is in the custody of Hashara Highway Police and will be handed over to the family, the SI added.
