A man and his son died from electrocution in Sarishabari upazila of Jamalpur today. The deceased were identified as Intaz Ali (50) and his son Firoz Mia (21) of Gobindanagar village, reports our Mymensingh correspondent.

Quoting family members, Pogaldigha Union Parishad Chairman Ashraful Alam Manik said Firoz was electrocuted while he was connecting an irrigation pump to a power source adjacent to his house this noon.

Hearing the young man's scream, his father Intaz tried to save him and also came in connect with electricity. Both died on the spot, added the chairman.
