Two passengers of a CNG-powered autorickshaw were killed when a trolley hit from opposite in Kishoreganj. The driver was injured in the incident.The accident took place in Maijkhapan union of Sadar upazila on Sunday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Asaduzzaman Bhuiyan Babul, son of Azim Uddin Bhuiyan of Bhawal Bhuiyan Bari in Rauti Union of Tarail Upazila and Mosharraf Hossain Delwar, son of Gias Uddin of Damiha village in the same upazila. The name of the injured driver is Badal.

Kishoreganj Sadar Model Police OC Md. Abu Bakar Siddique said the autorickshaw was going to Tarail with passengers from Kishoreganj. When Razzak Munshi of Maizkhapan Union reached the front of the house, the autorickshaw was crushed by a trolley of reckless speed coming from the opposite direction. The autorickshaw twisted and three people including the driver were seriously injured.

Later, the locals rescued them and took them to Kishoreganj 250-bed General Hospital. Delwar died while undergoing treatment there. As his condition deteriorated, Bablu was taken to Kishoreganj’s Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead. Driver Badal is undergoing treatment.
