Passengers going to India for medical treatment and Eid holidays seem to have no end of suffering in Benapole. Thousands of Bangladeshi passport passengers are standing in a 5 km long line. Someone is going to visit, someone or to see a doctor, someone's destination is a relative's house. Most of them are being taken away by their families. In the last 3 days, more than 30,000 passport passengers have entered India through immigration from Bangladesh.

Tuesday (July 12) afternoon, several thousand passport passengers were seen standing in the blazing sun from Benapole Immigration to Sadipur area. Between 4,000 and 5,000 passport-carrying passengers travel between the two countries every day through the Benapole International Checkpost. But now more than 10,000 to 11,000 passengers are going to India every day through Benapole checkpost. However, due to the slow speed across India, passengers have to stand in long lines.

Abul Kalam Azad, officer-in-charge of Benapole checkpost immigration, said the number of people going to India through Benapole checkpost has increased at a huge rate due to the Eid holiday. About three times as many passengers are going to India now than at any other time. Manpower has been increased at Benapole Immigration for the convenience of passengers.
