The Noakhali Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) has arrested a man in connection with the murder of journalist Burhan Uddin Muzakkir in Companiganj, Noakhali. 

Arrested Belal Hossain alias Pankha Belal is the son of Ibrahim of Ward No. 1 of Charfakira Union of the Upazila. 

He was arrested in a raid in the Hospital Road area of Basurhat Bazar on Sunday afternoon. PBI inspector and case investigation officer Md. Mostafizur Rahman has confirmed this information.

Former Upazila Chairman Mizanur Rahman Badal's supporters clashed with supporters of Mayor Quader Mirza at Chaprashirhat East Bazar on February 19 afternoon where journalist Burhan Uddin Muzakkir was shot dead.
