A fire broke out at Haji Mansion Market in Cumilla around 3:30 am on Sunday. The fire caused a loss of about Tk 5 crore.Witnesses said that the locals informed the fire service when they saw the fire burning in the market at around 3:30 am. At least 65 motorcycle and motorcycle parts of 28 shops were burnt. 

Cumilla Fire Service Assistant Director Md. Jasim Uddin said that 4 teams of fire service appeared at the spot after receiving the news. At least an hour's effort brought the fire under control. However, it is initially thought that the fire started from an electrical short circuit. 

Dhaka-Chattogram highway remained closed during the fire. Cumilla Kotwali Model Police Station OC Anwarul Haque said the fire started around 3:15 am. The fire came under control around 4:30 am. When the vehicles got stuck on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway at that time, the traffic became normal with the help of the highway police.
