A fire broke out on the 5th floor of a residential building in Khilkhet Lake City area of the capital. Three units of the fire service are working to douse the blaze.

The fire broke out on the fifth floor of a 16-storey residential building named 'Korbi' around 12:30 pm on Sunday.Fire Service Control Room Operator Ziaur Rahman confirmed the matter to the journalist.

"After receiving the news, three of our units are working to control the fire. Initially, the cause of the fire and the extent of damage were not known. Details will be given when the fire is extinguished," he said.
