Police yesterday recovered a man's body with his arms and legs tied from a roadside ditch in Uttar Karati village in Tarail upazila of Kishoreganj.

The deceased was identified as Mostofa Kamal (30), an auto-rickshaw driver of Dori Jahangirpur village of the upazila, reports our Kishoreganj correspondent quoting police.

Some unknown assailants killed Mostofa and later tied his body and left him in the ditch about 200 yards away from his auto rickshaw. After being informed, police came and recovered the body, said, locals.

"The body was sent to Kishoreganj 250-bed General Hospital Morgue for an autopsy," said Tarail Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mujibur Rahman.

"Primarily, it is believed that Mostafa was killed by strangulation. His father Abdul Jalil has filed a murder case against unidentified persons at Tarail Police Station," said the OC.

"No arrests have been made so far. We will soon find the killers and bring them under the purview of law," add OC Mujibur.
