Several days of continuous and heavy downpours have triggered severe waterlogging across various low-lying areas of Dohar Upazila in Dhaka district. The flooding has left residents in these pockets stranded, with numerous families in several villages under Narisha Union currently living in subhuman conditions.

In response to the escalating crisis, "Team Dohar," a local humanitarian and social organization, has stepped forward to support the helpless and waterlogged families.

Today, Wednesday (July 15, 2026) at noon, a dedicated group of volunteers and members from Team Dohar waded through the flooded waters to deliver cooked and dry food packages directly to the doorsteps of the stranded residents in Narisha.

According to the organization, the unrelenting rain has made it impossible for many households to light their cooking stoves. As a result, children, the elderly, and daily wage earners have been pushed into an extreme food crisis. Team Dohar initiated this immediate relief drive to ensure that the affected individuals receive sustenance during this critical period. In its first phase, the relief distribution targeted the most severely affected families in the union.

The conscious citizens of the area have highly appreciated this timely humanitarian gesture. Local leaders noted that such collective efforts by the youth, alongside government administration initiatives, provide a beacon of hope for vulnerable people during natural disasters.

The relief operation was carried out in the presence of "Team Dohar" President Sohel, member Borhan, former banker Md. Kabir Hossain, along with local dignitaries and representatives of the youth community.
