A case has been filed against a man in connection with raping a six-year-old girl at Araihazar upazila in Narayanganj. The victim's father filed the case with Araihazar Police Station this afternoon against Md Sakel Hossain for raping her daughter on February 5.

According to the case statement, the victim was playing in the yard of their house on the afternoon of February 5. "The accused Sakel took my daughter to their house luring her with chocolate and raped her there and fled away," the case statement said.

After being rescued, the victim was taken to doctor and who confirmed about the rape. Anisur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Araihazar Police Station, said their attempts are on to nab the accused. The victim was taken to Narayanganj General Hospital for advance treatment.
