International Anti-Corruption Day has been observed at Benapole land port in Sharsha upazila of Jessore under the theme ‘Your rights are your responsibility’.

Sharsha Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mir Alif Reza and Benapole Municipality Mayor Ashraful Alam Liton gave a good start to the day by performing national anthem in front of Benapole Maryam Memorial Girls School at 11 am on Thursday. After that anti-corruption human chain and rally was held in front of Benapole Customs on Jessore-Benapole Highway.

Speaking at the occasion were Benapole Municipality Mayor Ashraful Alam Liton, Benapole Custom House Assistant Commissioner Azizur Rahman, Sharsha Upazila Executive Officer Mir Alif Reza, Sharsha Upazila Anti-Corruption Prevention Committee President Ahsan Ullah Master, General Secretary Akhtaruzzaman Litu, Shri Shantipad Gungli. Debnath and Khandaker Mahbub Hossain among others.
