Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud said, "We have established peace in the country by tackling even more anarchy in 2013-2014-2015. We are determined this time around. We are determined to protect the lives and property of the people by taking strict action against those who are causing such incidents." 

He made the remarks in response to a question from journalists at an exchange meeting with the executive board of the Dhaka Journalists Union at the meeting room of the Information Ministry on Monday afternoon.

Dr. Hasan Mahmud said, "Such incidents on March 26, the attack on people's property, government property is tantamount to an attack on our independence and sovereignty." In which BNP-Jamaat has supported. In tune with this, when Mirza Fakhrul said, they will call for a movement to remove the present government. This means that these anarchists have been proved by their advice and patronage.

The Information and Broadcasting Minister said nine buses were set on fire in Narayanganj after the strike ended on Sunday. The walls have been made on the street. BNP and some so-called intellectuals have supported this. This proves that those who created anarchy in 2013-14-15 are BNP-Jamaat and Hefazat. The same group has created anarchy today. This is being done at a time when we are observing the golden jubilee of independence and it proves that they really want to hurt our independence and sovereignty.

He said that the dream of Mirza Fakhrul will never come true. The BNP of 2013 is not one of the BNP of 2021 and the Awami League of 2013 is not one of the Awami League of 2021. Today, the Awami League under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina is much stronger and more confident than at any time in the past.

Replying to a question on the attack on journalists in Narayanganj and Baitul Mukarram, the Information and Broadcasting Minister said the attack on a journalist while performing his professional duties was unfortunate, unwelcome, unacceptable, and reprehensible. It is their duty to inform the public about any incident that may take place in the country. In this case, I would like to request all the political parties and others not to harass or attack any journalist while discharging their professional duties.
