Firecrackers banned during Shabe Barat

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has banned the carrying of all types of explosives and the explosion of firecrackers in the capital ahead of Shab-e-Barat to be observed across the country tomorrow.

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) issued the ban in a notification, signed by DMP Commissioner Md. Shafiqul Islam on Sunday evening. The ban will be in force from 6pm on March 29 to 6am on March 30, said the notification.

It is further said that the holy Shabe Barat will be celebrated on the night of March 29. To protect the sanctity of the day, carrying and detonation of explosives, fireworks, firecrackers, other harmful and contaminants have been banned in the Dhaka metropolitan area at that time.

Meanwhile, due to the increase in corona infection, the Islamic Foundation has requested to observe Shabe Barat in accordance with the health guidelines.

Last year, the Ministry of Religion called for performing Holy Shab-e-Barat namaz at home due to the Corona epidemic. However, the Ministry of Religion has not yet given any instructions in this regard this time around.
