The government has rescheduled the office timing for the holy month of Ramadan from 9am to 3.30 pm for all government, semi-government, autonomous, and semi-autonomous organizations.

The Ministry of Public Administration has issued a notification in this regard on Tuesday.The notification said that the new schedule has been fixed considering the time of Sehri and Iftar of the holy month of Ramadan and to facilitate the office going fasting people.

The notice further said that during Ramadan 9am to 3.30pm was fixed as the office timing from Sunday to Thursday. And there will be a 15-minute break for Zahr prayer.

The circular states that banks, insurance companies, other financial institutions, post offices, railways, hospitals and state-owned enterprises, factories, and other entities (whose services are most urgent) will schedule and follow their own offices in accordance with the law.

It further said that the schedule of the Bangladesh Supreme Court and all the courts under it will be determined by the Bangladesh Supreme Court.
