Heatwave to continue rainfall likely within 3-days

Moderate to moderate heatwave that is sweeping over the country may continue for the next 24 hours ending tomorrow at 9:00 am, forecasted the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) in a weather bulletin issued today.

According to the BMD weather forecast, the moderate heatwave will be sweeping over the districts of Chattogram and Rangamati. Besides, the mild heat wave that is sweeping over Dhaka, Sylhet, Khulna and Barishal divisions and the regions of Rajshahi, Pabna and the districts of Feni, Cox’s Bazar, Chandpur and Sandwip will continue.Day and night temperature, in the meantime,  may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

“Rain or thundershowers activity likely to occur in the next 72 hours or within three days,” the BMD weather bulletin further said.A trough of westerly low has lied over West Bengal and adjoining area. So, the seasonal low will be lied over South Bay.

The country’s maximum temperature recorded 38.6°C yesterday at Sitakunda in the Chattogram division while today’s minimum temperature recorded 15.5°C at Tetulia, Dimla and Rajarhat in Rangpur division.Today’s sunset will be at 6:13 pm and tomorrow’s sunrise will be at 5:55 am.
