Bangladesh is a country prone to natural disasters. Recently, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that the people of Bangladesh will be able to deal with any natural calamity. He was speaking at the meeting on Tuesday (June 22nd) after unveiling a book titled "Durjog Jhuki Komate Bangabandhu" by the Ministry of Disaster Relief.

At the same time, he added, "We have been able to save the people of this country by following the steps of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, a milestone for us."

The steps taken by Bangladesh are exemplary for many countries of the world, especially for disaster prone countries. Informing this, Hon'ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, "The government has taken many steps out of the concern of how to reduce the loss of life and property in the cyclone and how to save the people."

The government has taken steps to ensure that not only humans but also their livestock and common animals can survive. He added, ‘We have got the confidence to deal with any natural calamity like cyclone and tidal wave. I have been able to take the kind of planning that is needed’.
