63 people died in Corona

Bangladesh on Wednesday recorded 7,626 Covid-19 cases, the highest single-day infections. with the latest, the total number of cases rose to 6,59,278, according to the official figures. 

The country recorded 63 coronavirus deaths in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of deaths to 9,447, said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in a press release on Wednesday (April 7, 2021).

Earlier on Tuesday, 7,213 COVID-19 patients were diagnosed while 66 deaths related to the disease were reported. A total of 34,630 samples were tested at 227 authorized laboratories across the country during the time, the press release added.

In the past 24 hours, 3,256 people were discharged from the hospital, raising the total number of cured to 5,61,639. The first coronavirus death was reported in the country on March 18, ten days after the detection of the first COVID-19 cases.
