Police have arrested Mostakin Billah, a madrasa teacher in Rangpur’s Gangachara upazila, for allegedly beating two students for using a private water jug.Mostakin Billah is a teacher of Yahya Ulam Hafizia Qaumi Madrasa located at Upazila Parishad premises.

Gangachara Model Police Station OC Sushant Kumar Sarkar said Madrasa students Masud Rana and Shamim Mia brought water for madrasa by personal jug of Mostakin Billa without having permission from him. Teacher Mostakin Billah got angry over the issue and beat Masood Rana and Shamim Mia with sticks. Later, some students there informed the families of the two students about the incident.  

On Sunday morning, Masood Rana’s father Abdul Malek filed a case with Gangachara police station and police arrested teacher Mostakin Billah. He was later sent to jail through the court.
