Day laborer Laku Roy has spent 30 years on bamboo. He has decided to spend the rest of his life in a house made of bamboo and cement sacks on a bamboo garden. There, Laku spends his days mingling with poisonous snakes, squirrels and birds. After the death of his wife, he left home and lived a kind of monastic life here. He is a resident of Raipara village in Palitpur village near Burdwan city in West Bengal, India.

Went there and saw green paddy fields all around. Laku's abode on bamboo in a piece of land in the middle. He has built a small house with bamboo, cement sacks and pieces of polythene. As he sat and talked in front of the house, he was suddenly seen with a poisonous quilt wrapped around his head. Although many present were shocked to see the scene, Laku was going to catch the snake with a smile. He said, 'I am in harmony with these snakes'

Somehow in the light of day, in the darkness of night he lives here in the light of a small torch. Laku is a day laborer by profession. Good to have work. And if there is no work, he has made a drain in his small piece of land to keep the fishing trap. Lonely Laku is satisfied with the fish he has caught.

Why live on bamboo? This question does not come out of his mouth. Then a friend of his, Adil Roy, said that Laku was emotionally broken after the death of his wife. Then he came to this bamboo garden and spent his days building a house on bamboo. It has been like this for almost 30 years. He works as a day laborer. This village is his birthplace. Go there if you ever wish.

Lakshmirani Roy, an elderly woman from the village, said Laku's wife died while giving birth to a child. That's when he left home and took shelter in the bamboo garden. Then slowly build a house on the bamboo platform and stay there day and night.

And in Laku's words, '- My mother is treating one of my sons and one of her daughters. But I will not go to that house. I will spend the rest of my life on this bamboo
