Afghanistan will not come to Bangladesh

Afghanistan will not come to Bangladesh to play the return match of the World Cup and Asian Cup joint qualifiers.

They officially informed to Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) last night. They made their home venue in Tajikistan in the World Cup qualifiers as no country goes to play in Afghanistan. The country which does not have its own venue, has to go to another country as its home venue, that Afghanistan will not come to Bangladesh to play away matches. The news is like a shock for Bangladesh.

Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) told Asian Football Confederation (AFC) that they did not want to come and play in Bangladesh on the pretext of Coronavirus. The AFC advised Bangladesh to negotiate with Afghanistan. But in the end, Afghanistan remained adamant in their decision. They want to play in a neutral venue instead of playing in Bangladesh.
BFF said in a statement today, "The Afghanistan Football Federation informed BFF in a letter last night that they could not come to Bangladesh to play the match."

Bangladesh played an away match against Afghanistan in Dushanbe. Bangladesh's 'home match' against Afghanistan was scheduled to be held on March 25 in Sylhet. Now Bangladesh will have to play the remaining three matches of the World Cup qualifiers at the neutral venue Qatar in June.
