Thirty-two more people have died from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 6,448 in the country. Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 451,990 as 2,230 new cases were confirmed during the period.

Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) came up with the information in a press release issued on Tuesday. 

A total of 15,018 samples were tested at 117 authorized laboratories across the country during the time. The recovery count rose to 3,66,887 after another 2,276 patients were discharged from the hospitals during the period.

The first COVID-19 positive cases were reported in the country on March 8 and the first death on March 18.
