The Meteorological Department fears that Kalbaishakhi may strike today. According to the Meteorological Department, experts think that there may be a Kalbaishakhi storm in the whole country including the capital Dhaka today.

The forecast for the next 24 hours at 9 am on Saturday said that there may be temporary gusts or thundershowers in Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and some parts of Sylhet division.

Daytime temperatures may drop slightly across the country and nighttime temperatures may remain almost unchanged.

The increase in light pressure is in West Bengal and adjoining Bangladesh. Although storms have lashed most parts of the country, one or two areas are still sweltering. 

The highest temperature of the country was recorded in Rangamati on Friday at 36.8 degrees Celsius.
