Four people were killed in separate road crashes at Bhaluka and Tarakanda in Mymensingh. The accidents took place on Saturday morning and afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Bijan Krishna Roy, son of Bisweshwar Roy of Bagichapara village in Durgapur upazila, Abul Kashem, son of Nawab Ali of Banshipara village in the same upazila, Kawser Sheikh, son of Sadar Ali of Sanura village in Netrokona and Imran, son of Chan Miah of Jugati village in the same district.

Bhaluka Highway Police Station OC Mashiur Rahman said a Dhaka-bound truck was hit by a pickup truck on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in the morning in front of Palli Bidyut in Bhaluka Kanthali area. The driver Kawser and helper Imran were killed on the spot.

On the other hand, in the afternoon, a truck hit a CNG-powered autorickshaw on the Mymensingh-Netrokona regional highway near Tarakanda Mozahardi Gachatala Bazar. One person was killed on the spot. A man was rushed to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital in critical condition and was pronounced dead by doctors. Tarakanda Police Station OC Abul Khayer confirmed the matter.
