A 4.9 mild earthquake was jolted in Chittagong and its surrounding areas.

According to the Met Office, the tremor was felt on Sunday evening. No casualties were reported in this incident.

Patenga Meteorological Office meteorologist Sheikh Farid Ahmed confirmed the matter.
