SLC to allow spectators for Bangladesh-Sri Lanka Tests

The Sri Lankan cricket team will play a two-match Test series at home against Bangladesh in April. Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has decided to bring spectators back to the field with this series. The country's sports ministry confirmed the information through a source.

The first Test between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will start on April 21 while the second Test will start on April 29. The visitors will play both the Tests, part of the ICC Test Championship, at the same venue in Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Kandy.

The Tigers are scheduled to travel to Sri Lanka on April 12 and they will play an inter-squad two-day warm-up match on April 17 and 18 at the Chilaw Marians Cricket Club Ground in Katunayake.

After the break due to coronavirus pandemic, the SLC has organized Sri Lankan Premier League (LPL) and Test series against England. However, both the occasion no spectators were allowed in the stadium.
