No plans to declare general holiday: Farhad Hossain

State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain has said that the government has no plans to declare a general holiday, as the outbreak of coronavirus on rising.

He came up with the comments while talking to reporters at the secretariat on Monday. Earlier, the state minister readout 18 instructions from the Prime Minister's Office to curb corona infection."So far we have no such decision. There has been no discussion about declaring general leave," he said.

"We have worked, journalists have been in the field, many have been attacked," the state minister said. Many are fine so far. In that case, our activities will continue. So far there is no plan for declaring a general holiday. But we can control it if we are careful.

Incidentally, Bangladesh first reported coronavirus patients on March 8 last year. As the situation continued to deteriorate, the government announced general holiday from March 26 to April 4. After that, the leave had been increased several times. According to the latest announcement, the last phase general holidays of 66 days ends on May 30.
