Iconic Idealz, the defending champion, is taking part in the second edition of "Batchmates 03- 05 Cricket Blast 2021" started from Friday, December 3, 2021 with the participation of 28 teams from all over the country. On the opening day of the tournament, Iconic Idealz played Tim Spartan in the first match of their group stage. The match started at 9:30 am as per the pre-announced schedule of the organizing committee. After winning the toss, Iconic Idealz decided to bat first.

They scored 96 runs in the allotted 12 overs. After losing Khaled's wicket at the start of the game, the team was under some pressure but the team got some relief due to the determination of opener Imtiaz and middle order batsman Iqbal. Captain Ami scored maximum 26 runs for the team. Iqbal scored 21 runs and Mostafa 20 runs. Playing with a target of 97 runs, Team Spartan managed to score 94 runs in their allotted 12 overs which gave the Iconic Idealz a 2-run victory over them. Iqbal and Mostafa took one wicket each for the team. Kajal and Noor's controlled bowling played a unique role in the victory.

Zakaria Tonoy, founder and co-owner of Iconic Idealz, said, “This year, we are in the Death Group because last season's two semifinals, Team Spartan and Pabna Royals, are in our group. Although we have crossed the 1st hurdle, we still have a long way to go. We are more focused now. Captain Ami Ahmed expressed his satisfaction with the team, saying, "We have tried to form a more balanced team this year and that has started to show results for us.

Hopefully we can finish this year in the same way as last year." Manager Kazi Ishtiak said, “We have started where we ended last year. This seemed amusing and exhilarating to me. We are confident of doing better. We have practiced enough and it is time to use these experiences against our opponents." Last season, Iconic Idealz won against Team Spartan in the final at the same venue and became the undefeated Champion.

Meanwhile, on November 19, 2021, Iconic Idealz inaugurated and distributed their jerseys after their last practice at the 300-foot Taltala ground in Purbachal. The event was attended by co-owners, all the players and representatives of sponsors. SIM Group, Globe Soft Drinks and AST Beverages Ltd., Dohatech New Media, M M Ispahani Ltd., PFEC Global, Meghna Group of Industries, The Procurists, Athletic Gearz and HotIce Sports are currently on the sponsorship page.

The other two group matches of Iconic Idealz are on December 10 and 16 against Team Tsunami and Pabna Royals respectively. The 7-day tournament is being held at 3 grounds of Dhaka Residential Model College (DRMC) at Mohammadpur in the capital. The tournament is scheduled to end on January 7, 2022 with some 57 matches played on the weekends only.
