Actor Faruk is the brightest star of Bengali cinema. He has been in the ICU of a hospital in Singapore for about four months. The current actor's physical condition is improving. His wife, who is in Singapore, said his condition had improved.

The actor's wife said that the medical activities are long-term but he has gradually recovered due to proper treatment. He is being treated at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore from India in March this year. The legendary actor has been in the ICU since his physical condition deteriorated.

Faruk made his film debut in Akbar. He won the National Film Award for Best Actor in 1995 and was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award.
