Bangladesh logged an additional 20 deaths and 2,273 infections from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours on Friday, counting the death toll to 6,544 and infections to 458,711.

Among the deceased, 17 were male and three female patients.A Directorate General of Health Services release came up with the latest COVID-19 data. 

Some 16,378 specimens were tested in the timeline at 118 labs across the country.Bangladesh had tested a total of 27,95,580 specimens as of November 27.

A total of 2,223 patients were declared free from novel coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours totalling the recovery to 373,676.

Bangladesh on March 8 reported the first COVID-19 positive cases while the first death was logged ten days later on March 18.
